Willie Rupert Jr., our minister, preaches outstanding and profound messages every Lord’s day. He teaches extraordinary classes for our Men, as well as, our general Bible studies.  If you are looking for spiritual enlightenment and growth, Sundays at Central will make a difference in your walk with the Lord!

We have a loving atmosphere where you are greeted at the door with kindness. When you arrive we have a small token of our appreciation for those who grace our Sunday morning service with their presence.  Prayerfully we will see you and have the opportunity to fellowship with you as soon as the Lord wills.  Our prayer is that we can be of some service to you and your family.  Please come and let us walk in the light of the Lord together.  The Central Church of Christ welcomes you as our honored guest and we entreat you to visit our congregation where God is always put first in all we do.
  •             Wherever You Are Build an Altar

    (Part 2)

Besides the perseverance of faith, consider God’s providence regarding faith. God said to Abram, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee.” Genesis 12:1. After leaving Ur, Abram, not knowing where to go, arrived at a place called
Sychar. You ought to remember this place for it is where Jacob, Abram’s grandson, dug a well and consequently, where Jesus talked with the woman at the well.

It is here that God appeared to Abram and said, “Unto thy seed will I give this land.” Surely, after traveling over 1000 miles, it had to be comforting and reassuring to know that God was with him.
The Canaanites were also in the land and I’m sure, they were not friendly, knowing someone from an-other country was wandering through their land; but because of God’s faithfulness, Abram built an altar of thankfulness in spite of the challenges.

Have you ever traveled or transitioned from one place to another or been faced with a major decision that would change your life? Although you were not sure what to do, you believed that somehow God was calling you, so you stepped out on faith. In the middle of it all you experienced some setbacks, but God providently guided you to a certain place and reaffirmed your faith!

A grateful person should do what Abram did; build an altar of thankfulness! We ought to set-up our al-tar as the Lord commands us. On Sundays, we need to praise him by making a joyful noise in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord.

    W.L. Rupert, Jr.
